I would like to give this blogger a big pat on the back for pointing out one part of Columbus's arts and entertainment offerings. (The Columbus Experience » Small concert venues are Columbus gems) Having grown up in a small town in West Virginia, I still can't help marveling at everything going on, every day.
Of course, not everyone notices the way I do. Frankly, I couldn't believe what I was hearing when a colleague mentioned after I'd been in the city a few months that there isn't that much to do here ... not like in New York or Atlanta, for example.
Columbus is no Manhattan, but it isn't without thriving venues and events. Appreciate mid-size cities, people. Take it from someone who comes from a place where the primary local entertainment for young adults includes movie watching, TV, and hanging out and drinking too much: You really don't know how good you have it.

I absolutely LOVE Columbus and never feel bored or that there isn't something to do. I grew up in a small town, so perhaps that is why I appreciate Columbus' many offerings more than others. Besides the cold 3 months of the year, it's a fabulous place to live and play!
